OFFICIAL STATEMENT TO OUR CUSTOMERS IN THE UNITED STATES

Temporary Suspension of U.S. Shipments Following Regulatory Changes Effective 29 August 2025

Dear Customers in the United States,

We wish to inform you that, as a result of major customs rule changes implemented by U.S. authorities effective 29 August 2025, we must temporarily suspend all shipments to the United States. These changes apply to all international commercial parcels entering the U.S. and have significantly altered duty assessments, clearance procedures, and logistics operations.

We sincerely apologise for the disruption and inconvenience this causes. While these reforms stem from external regulatory decisions, we accept full responsibility for delivering transparent communication and dedicated support to every customer affected.

SUMMARY OF THE REGULATORY CHANGES (As of 29 August 2025)

  • The U.S. government has permanently eliminated the long-standing $800 duty-free “de minimis” exemption for commercial imports from all countries.

  • As of that date, most international parcels are subject to full customs duties, taxes, and formal customs entries.

  • For a transitional period, certain postal shipments may be subject to flat-fee duties of about USD $80–$200 per item, depending on origin.

  • Carriers such as UPS, DHL, and postal operators now must collect and remit duties on behalf of U.S. Customs.

  • These changes affect all sellers shipping to the U.S.—regardless of country of origin, value of shipment, or shipping method.

IMPACT ON SHIPMENTS FROM SWEDEN (EU BASED COMPANY)

As a company based in Sweden, and operating under EU export and customs regulations, we have ensured every shipment was documented in full compliance with Swedish and European Union export standards. Despite this, our U.S.-bound parcels have been impacted by the new U.S. clearance environment:

  • U.S. Customs may now treat even low-value parcels as formal entries, potentially subjecting them to duties or fees.

  • Some parcels may face extended clearance delays, returns, or even disposal due to non-clearance under the new rules.

  • Carriers report that some shipments may be disposed of if clearance cannot be achieved.

  • In light of these developments, we have issued full refunds for all orders that could not be successfully delivered.

OUR RESPONSE & ACTION PLAN

1. Engagement with U.S. Authorities

We have reached out to the Embassy of the United States in Stockholm, Sweden, to request clarification and assistance regarding these regulatory changes and their effect on international commerce.

2. Developing a Compliant Shipping Strategy

We are collaborating with logistics partners, customs specialists, and trade consultants to identify a sustainable and compliant solution that aligns with the updated U.S. requirements.

3. Enhanced Customer Support and Transparency

Our support team is prioritising all U.S.–related inquiries. We will publish verified updates on our website as soon as they become available.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR U.S. CUSTOMERS (Effective August 29, 2025)

  • Shipments of any value may now incur duties, taxes or fees when entering the U.S.

  • Duty-free treatment under the prior $800 threshold is no longer available for commercial imports.

  • Clearance times may be significantly longer than previously experienced.

  • We strongly discourage ordering items with short shelf-life (such as fresh or soft goods) until normal service resumes.

  • Additional procedural adjustments may continue as U.S. systems adapt to the new framework.

We shall continue to support all U.S. customers with pending orders until every case is resolved.
